Walking up to the venue doors, you could almost tell from the people standing outside who would be performing. With happy, giggling people lined up outside, wearing tie dye and enjoying the night before it even started, the vibe was definitely one that isn’t out of the ordinary for a Mod Sun show. Even on a Wednesday night, people still showed up to have a good time.

The Emerson Theatre was recently remodeled, and the show-goers that Wednesday night were the first to witness a new light set up. As the first set began, the whole crowd was already in hype mode. Ashley Brinton and talented dancers Desiree Mendez and Jameila Cartman had everyone turned up from the beginning.

Pablo Dylan took the stage next. With a groovy sound and a chill attitude, you couldn’t not enjoy yourself. His newest album, Notes From Columbia, can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play, Tidal, and Deezer.

Following Pablo Dylan were amazing performances by Jimmy Bennett, Winter Havens, Lost In Vegas, and 7715.

Once Mod’s piano was loaded onto the stage, everyone already knew what was up. The curly hair and pearly smile could be seen from miles away. The talent displayed by himself and his wonderful drummer Donnie Johnson was incredible. Everyone was more than happy to scream every word, which is the only kind of energy that would’ve been acceptable considering everyone was celebrating Mod Sun’s birthday.

Everyone who was at the Emerson that night lucked out. Due to the effect that Coronavirus has had on the music industry among many other things, the rest of the tour was postponed days later. If you missed out, don’t get too bummed. It has been clarified that the remaining shows are not cancelled. They will be rescheduled, assumingly depending on when social distancing is no longer necessary. For many that attended, this show was the last they would be able to go to for a time period that nobody can estimate, but they went out with a bang to say the least.
