Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Maggie Schneider just released her new track, “For Me It’s You.” It’s an upbeat, sweet song about your ride-or-die, and the perfect soundtrack to any relationship or friendship.

“I wrote this song when I was 16 years old, and I’m so excited that I decided to rerelease and reimagine it,” Schneider states, when asked what the song means to her. “It was previously on my very first EP Insomniac as an acoustic track. This song is honestly about Jack and I’s friendship, and I wrote it with him specifically in mind – his voice is incredible.”

The song is warm and nostalgic, reminding us of that special someone. Whether your soulmate is your best friend or your other half, there’s a certain feeling that comes with being around them, and “For Me It’s You” encapsulates it perfectly. “It’s about a friendship or relationship that you always count on; no matter how much time passes, you are always able to pick back up from where you left off,” Schneider mentions. “‘For Me It’s You’ shows how much we’ve grown up and found ourselves these last 5 years, all while still being there for each other. I’m so grateful for the people in my life and for the adventures we continue to have.”

Maggie Schneider is a treat to the pop-rock scene right now. With catchy, meaningful lyrics and intricate instrumentation, she’s managed to blend the modern pop punk sound with her own unique approach to the genre.
