NYC-based indie-pop duo Eighty Ninety released their newest single, “Forever,” on February 12th. This single follows their two previous releases, “Better As Friends” and “Happier,” which can all be found on their upcoming sophomore EP, which was created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Gian Stone (Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Dua Lipa) and is set to release later this Spring.
Eighty Ninety never disappoints, in my opinion, and yet again, they put out a great track. “Forever” is about reconciling the desire to be with the person you love with the understanding that they don’t feel the same way anymore.” The track has such a chill vibe and is all too relatable. “7 AM I’m still up, I’m still drunk, trying to understand how to get through life if we aren’t in love.” At one point or another, many of us have or will have someone in our lives we love with all our heart and want to be together forever, but the other person just doesn’t feel the same way. “Forever” is a great track overall that so many can relate too and if these first few singles are any indication of how great the EP will be, then I cannot wait for more.
