On November 9th, mxmtoon and Chloe Lilac were met to a sold out show at The Foundry. Despite the cold, fans lined up early to see the two perform.

Chloe Lilac took the stage first, and hyped up the crowd with ease. Whether it be one of her original songs or her cover of “Stay” by Rihanna, the crowd was always singing along. The audience, myself included, were particularly engaged by her commentary between songs. It was interesting to hear about what inspired each track, and it was nice to see the fans react and reply to the stories Chloe told.

If Chloe’s set was any indication of what the night was going to be like, then the fans were in for a treat.

mxmtoon played one of the best sets I’ve ever seen at The Foundry. Her fans were singing along at the top of their lungs, and engaging with her during her interludes of commentary and jokes. Whether you were a fan who discovered her recently or someone who had been there since the early days of mxmtoon, there was absolutely a song on the setlist you could look forward to. Around me, I heard fans of all types reacting excitedly to hearing their favorite song being played, be it an older track, or a newer one off of her album The Masquerade.

Chloe Lilac and mxmtoon have incredible stage presences, and I highly recommend seeing both of them perform. While the upcoming dates of this tour are sold out, you can stream both of their music below, so you’ll be ready to sing along the next time either of them visit your city.
