If Kayshawn isn’t a common name on your tongue, then get ready for it to be. 23-year-old queer artist Kayshawn has announced his newest EP shades of you, set to be released on August 26th. We first got to know Kayshawn with his debut into music with the release of his Save Your Love EP in 2018 with over 700K streams on Spotify. The College of Charleston alumna is dedicated to his fans and wants them to experience his collection of songs at once. We have, of course, heard the first single from this EP, “Eve,” and the titular single from this EP, but we will receive the third single “ANYBODY ELSE” just days before the release of the full collection.
This EP is a self-described “sonic love letter to not only his lover but his supporters who have stuck by him for all these years.” This 5-song EP has been in creation for over a year now. He has written this collection by himself, but he has his longtime producer Ian Gwinnup to thank for production.“Shades of you” is expected to be listened to in chronological order, as you’ll slowly listen to his feelings solely develop for his long-time girlfriend.
