Reggae-influenced alt rock band Iration will be headed to the Pavilion on August 13th as a part of their Sunshine & Summer Nights co-headlining tour with hip-hop duo Atmosphere. The tour will also feature Passafire and The Grouch w/ DJ Fresh as support acts.

Fans can expect to hear songs from their 2020 album, Coastin’, which debuted at #2 on the Reggae Albums Chart. In addition to that, I would probably expect to hear them play their new song, “New Style”, which Micah (lead vocals/guitar) told me is probably his favorite song to play live.

The 31 stop Sunshine & Summer Nights tour began on July 8th in Las Vegas, NV and runs through August 26th, where it wraps up in Irvine, CA. Along the way, they’ve performed at 2 festivals and in countless different states. Click here (https://sunshineandsummernights.com) to grab your tickets because this is a tour that you don’t want to miss!

Check out down below for the rest of my interview with Micah and for the rest of their tour dates!

I’ll be hitting up the Spokane date so be sure to check back here for a gallery and review of the show!

Your tour dates are taking you all over the country.  Do you have any favorite cities or venues to play in?

I think we have found that every city has a redeeming quality about it.

It looks like you have a couple festivals on your tour as well. Do you prefer playing shows where most of the people probably already know your band, or do you like the opportunity to make new fans and meet new people (whether that be fans or other artists) at festival shows?

Ideally both things happen but I think you’re always happy to play for your fans. They’re the ones that keep us going.

You’ve mentioned in the past that you like to include features and have guests at your shows; if you could choose a dream collaboration, who would you want to work with?

I think Jack Johnson could be an interesting collaboration since we are both from Hawaii.

What is your favorite song to perform live (and can we expect to see it at any future tour dates)?

Our new song “New Style”. Really it’s an homage to Mikey Dreadd who we were lucky enough to work with.

If you had to describe your music to someone who’s never heard of you before, what would you say?

Reggae Rock

If you had only one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

We love you and thank you.

What do you think you would be doing if you weren’t musicians?

Hopefully figuring stuff out.

Please note that one of the support acts listed on the tour flier has changed. Katastro will unfortunately not be on the tour but in their place will be Passafire.
