Ronnie Watts just might be a household name soon. She hails from the suburbs of Rochester, New York, and she’s one we’ll absolutely keep on our radar. Her latest release is I DONT TRUST U AT ALL.
“Sad Summer” is the first song on this album. The vocals are immaculate and feel so raw. I like how upbeat the song feels despite what the lyrics convey to us.
The next song on this album feels just as raw. I liked the idea of this song,”Arizona”, following the first song. It oddly enough makes me want to dance around my house as the sweet vocals entice me.
“Big House” does nothing short of convincing me that Ronnie Watts has a beautiful voice. It is completely entrancing in this song. The instrumental is such a beautiful touch in complimenting her vocals.
“You Said” being the next song to play really began to show me what a journey this album truly is. I love a song that can provoke emotions in myself and that is exactly what it did because I began to cry in the best way.
I didn’t expect “On My Mind” to make me cry as well, but it did. The nice beat in this song did nothing to stop the emotional train it made me feel. This song might just be my favorite on this album.
This bonus track is more of a prize to me. “Supermodel” was so peaceful and reminded me of Birdy’s music. This song is a true treat and I would do anything to hear this played live as I feel the emotions pour across the crowd.
This record being only 6 songs does nothing to curb the excitement I felt when I was listening over it. I immediately placed these songs on playlists right where they belong. If there is any new release you should check out, I would say it needs to be this one.
