On a charged summer night in Houston, WesGhost turned the House of Blues into his own haunted haven of rhythm and raw emotion. This was the opening night of the CAN WE GO BACK TO SLEEP tour. As both a fan and a photographer for the night, I got to witness the show from behind the lens and the heart, and let me tell you, the energy was undeniable.

The venue was completely packed shoulder to shoulder, but the crowd wasn’t just there, they were locked in. Heads were bobbing from the first beat, lyrics were being mouthed back in unison, and that signature WesGhost mood swept through the room like a fog you didn’t want to escape from.

Midway through the set, he pulled a fan up on stage and serenaded her, not just singing to her, but with her, making it a shared moment with all of us watching. He didn’t just stay on stage either, he walked through the crowd twice and the fans ate it up. It didn’t matter where you were standing — you felt seen.

Hearing some of my favorite tracks live, “Dark,” “Spine,” and “Fever” hit different in that room. The way WesGhost delivered them felt raw and immersive, like he was pulling emotions straight out of the crowd. “Spine” set the tone, heads nodding, lights low, with everyone caught in the moment. “Fever” turned the energy up, and “Dark” just hit in that haunting, gut-punching kind of way. Hearing these tracks live just made me love them more. This wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience, and WesGhost proved he doesn’t just perform. He haunts, in the best way.For more information on WesGhost and tickets for the CAN WE GO BACK TO SLEEP tour, visit www.wesghost.com.

  • Amber Orta from Houston, TX a cliche artsy photographer who loves Kuromi the Sanrio character & all things horror. You’ll probably find her at the barricade of the next concert you see.
