The Revolution’s Live Tour may have kicked off on April Fool’s Day, but the only people who were fooling around were anyone who showed up late and missed out on the killer opening acts.

The show began around 7 pm with a high-energy performance by DIAMANTE who I admittedly was unfamiliar with prior to seeing her performance. Despite this, I quickly found myself captivated by the music and energy of DIAMANTE (and her sparkly jumpsuit as well, which was gorgeous). Throughout her performance, the crowd matched her energy well. There was still a pretty long line out the door by the time the band started playing, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell it by the noise and excitement levels of the crowd—you would think it was a sold-out audience in the arena!

The Pretty Reckless was up next for their first live performance in over four years.  They performed a mix of older songs, as well as three live premieres from their latest album, Death By Rock And Roll.  Even though it was their first time performing some of these songs, I noticed quite a few members of the crowd excitedly singing along and others who seemed equally as excited, despite possibly not knowing the songs.

The excitement in the arena seemed to amplify around 9 pm as Shinedown took the stage with their fiery performance (and I do mean that it was literally fiery). The band wasn’t the only source of fire though, as there were quite a few times when the crowd pulled out their lighters in response to the music. There were even a few times during the show when I looked around and saw tear-filled eyes (from members of the crowd and members of the band on some occasions).

Between the live premieres (“The Saints of Violence and Innuendo”), the world premieres (upcoming single, “Daylight”), the old fan favorites, the covers, and even a touching tribute to Taylor Hawkins (of Foo Fighters) there was something on the setlist for everyone.
