Chase Atlantic and Lauren Sanderson kicked off the Phases tour in Philadelphia on June 14th, at the Theater of The Living Arts. Just a year and a half prior, Chase Atlantic opened this venue, so to headline it to a huge crowd is a major achievement.

Lauren Sanderson opened the show, and I’ve never seen anyone hype up a crowd so fast. She stated on stage that it was her first time opening for a tour, but watching her, you’d never tell. She’s clearly comfortable performing, knows how to engage an audience, and her stage presence is insane.

At the end of her set, the crowd demanded more, and she was happy to oblige. Sanderson gave a short acapella of her song “Shut Em Up”. At the end of her set, she reminded the crowd to think about what they’re doing, and make sure that it makes them happy. It was clear to me that she cares about her audience, and appreciates where she’s gotten.

Once Chase Atlantic took the stage, the high energy returned immediately. I’ve always said that no one puts on a show quite like Chase Atlantic, and I stand by that once again. Their showmanship is incredible, and the stage setup itself looked great. I’ve always been fascinated by the lights and backgrounds at their shows, and this was no exception. The stage setup itself combined with the introduction and interlude to the set gave us a good idea of what to expect from Phases later on this month.

Chase Atlantic’s set was filled with a perfect mixture of old and new music; no matter when you became a fan of them, there was a song for you. Most notably, the crowd went wild when the band played “Uncomfortable”.

After many months off the road, Chase Atlantic is back and better than ever. I strongly recommend everyone goes out to the Phases Tour- it’ll be a show unlike any other.
