I had the absolute delight of seeing Kings Elliot perform in Philadelphia as she was on tour with Stephen Sanchez. It was so lovely to see the variety of people who attended this show as there was a broad age range that demonstrated the ubiquity of the music to come. From young high school romances to people who were married for decades, the crowd was undeniably full of love.

Kings Elliot took the stage early in the evening, captivating the audience with her bright persona and carrying the room through an emotional rollercoaster. Each song built upon the next, preaching vulnerability and compassion. The audience stood wide-eyed and encapsulated by the melodies of love and loss. World Cafe Live became a safe space for everyone to have a collective moment of feeling all that there was to be felt in each song.

If you’re not afraid of shedding a few tears, I would highly recommend attending an upcoming Kings Elliot show. It was a truly beautiful performance and a delight to watch.
