Iration picked the perfect venue for their Spokane stop of the Sunshine and Summer Nights tour. The Spokane Pavilion is an outdoor venue and the weather lived up to the tour name. During the opening acts, it was all sunshine and by the time Iration took the stage, it was a perfect summer night.

The show opened with The Grouch & DJ Fresh who got the early crowd hyped up. Even as someone who isn’t the biggest hip hop fan, it was hard to not enjoy their set. Next up was Passafire who’s reggae rock and chill vibes were the perfect follow up to keep the crowd engaged and enjoying the music.

At 7:10, Atmosphere took the stage. By this time, the sun was beginning to set and the venue was getting more and more packed. Despite the amount of people coming in, the overall atmosphere (no pun intended) in the venue stayed pretty chilled out. People were polite to each other and nobody was fighting over who would get barricade. Once Atmosphere started his set, the energy in the amphitheater ramped up. Fans were singing and jumping along to the songs and seemed to be loving every minute of the set. At about 8pm, Atmosphere wrapped up his set and the anticipation for Iration began.

By 8:30 or so, lights began turning on up on stage. I made my way to the photo pit and while I was waiting, I heard fans talking excitedly about what songs they hoped to hear and what merch they bought or were planning to buy. Finally, at 8:50, Iration took the stage and the crowd immediately began singing or dancing along.

Iration opened up with their song “New Style” which, if you got a chance to read my interview with Micah (lead vocals), you might remember him mentioning that this is his favorite song to perform live. I can see why it’s his favorite as it was extremely catchy and the entire band looked like they were having a blast while playing it. This energy continued throughout the rest of the set with neither the band or the fans showing any signs of tiring.

Iration is currently on tour in support of their 7th album, “Coastin’” which you can listen to here: https://www.iration.fm/coastin-album

If you like what you hear, why not come out for a show? I’d say it’s worth it for the music alone but it’s even more worth it to get to listen to good music AND get possibly the best vibes that I’ve ever seen at a concert. There’s only a few dates left on the Sunshine and Summer Nights tour so hurry up and get your tickets before it’s too late!
