Indigo De Souza performed in a tightly packed Secret Group room Sunday night. As I stood in the back of the room there was a buzz and murmurs of the next artist up. I overheard an audience member mention to their friend they might be heading out soon, but their friend immediately stopped in their tracks, “No, you should seriously stay and give her a listen. I really like her, please.” The two friends stood side by side as the lights dimmed further and there was a single purple light shining on the stage.

Indigo De Souza performed with beautiful vocals, and explained each song and the meaning behind them. She was funny and relatable, as an audience member it felt as though you were talking to a friend. She described the struggles and disappointments of relationships and how they affected her, and how she managed to overcome each issue. Indigo De Souza has a unique way of being up on stage but simultaneously make you feel as though she is personally talking to you one on one.

Her music is raw and personal. Her cozy and soft feathery voice is smooth like butter. Absolutely addicting to listen to. Hoping to hear more from her, and see her roll through Texas again soon!

Check out her songs, “Hold U” and “Take Off Ur Pants” on Spotify.
