Bursting into song, Grayscale hit Warehouse Live’s stage in Houston on November 12th. “Without You” was booming through the venue, and had the audience overjoyed and dancing along. Collin Walsh strutted across the stage maintaining the crowd’s energy by putting all of his fire into his voice.

The lights flickered and the second song Grayscale began to play was “Dirty Bombs”, which happens to be one of my favorite songs. This song managed to illuminate the crowd and had everyone moving their feet along to the music. Even I could not help but bop my head to the performance as I focused on shooting photos.

One of the last songs played was an absolute crowd-pleaser, “Babylon”. I do not think a single person in the venue could help themselves from jumping and singing along. The passion Grayscale was able to pull from the crowd was amazing to witness. Every single person in the crowd was shouting the lyrics, “Come say it to my face!” It echoed throughout the venue and bounced off the walls. Collin Walsh waved his arms indicating to the crowd to continue jumping, and he managed to compel each and every person to obey his command.

I previously attended a Grayscale performance at Sad Summer Fest, but being able to see them perform in such an intimate setting was even better than I could have hoped for! As I stood in the crowd I felt absolutely enveloped in the music, and as I looked throughout the surrounding crowd it felt as if everyone was comfortable enough to lose themselves to the music. Grayscale has the astounding ability to create such an immersive environment. I absolutely cannot wait to see them perform again!
