Returning from Coachella Weekend 2, Beabadoobee absolutely rocked the crowd at The Glass House Pomona.

Bea entered the stage in an all-black monochrome outfit matched with black platform boots, her hair was tied into a ponytail, and her electric guitar was by her side. Despite being previously unlucky with an illness, Bea was still ready and excited to play for her fans.

The room was filled with teenagers who were ecstatic to see Bea, a lot of chatter went on over how long they had been waiting to see her. The majority of the room all seemed to be wearing Doc Martens of some kind, which I thought was kinda funny because I was too.

During the beginning of the show, Bea admitted to being ill and apologized for her voice. Despite this, she persevered and sounded great – especially after just coming back from Coachella. However, the instruments seemed to drown out her voice and I feel the mic could have been turned up to prevent this. I really enjoyed when I was able to hear her voice as she performed songs with her acoustic guitar.

Bea had contagious energy up on stage and had a true rockstar presence. She got the crowd going and encouraged them to sing along with her, which truly got them excited. Whilst Bea was performing she was lively and vibrant, but when she was talking she seemed a bit shy. Her British accent took aback, but when she began to sing I could tell that she knew she was meant to be up there. Bea made a great connection with the crowd and as she was performing one of her songs, she even took a fan’s phone to take videos with the crowd. The fans freaked out and encouraged Bea by screaming and singing along with her.

Earlier that day, Bea released her new single titled ‘See you Soon’ which she then performed for the very first time. It was a special moment between herself and her fans, and they were so excited to be the first to hear the live performance of this. This was probably the most special moment of the show, it is always a pleasure to be in attendance of a song that is being performed live for the first time ever.

She also brought out her opening act, Luna Li to perform with her on stage. Together, they charmed the crowd and sang. They looked so cute up on stage singing with each other as Luna jammed out on the electric guitar with Bea singing by her side.

After leaving for a few minutes, Bea came back out with an encore to sing her hit song ‘death bed’, This was an intimate moment shared with the crowd as they all sang along. She sang it acoustically and it felt like she was serenading us with a lullaby. Bea is a true rockstar, and I had so much fun watching her in her element.
