On April 1st of 2020, Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan released his latest single “Take Yourself Home” with a lyric video to match, showing the words in front of a continuously circling city background.

With a different sound than some of his previous songs, Sivan opens this track up with lyrics that talk about growing tired of the town that you are in and wanting to go home. He then goes into state that the truth and honesty can change everything with the lyrics, “There’s nothing that can’t be fixed with some honesty.”

In a recent video with Genius, Sivan also discusses that the meaning of the song is also about how he gets lonely in other cities because he tends to not know anyone or have any friends in those cities. Not having any friends to hang out with results in him being “tired of the city” and wanting to take himself home.

You can listen to this track and watch the mesmerizing music video below.
