The California rock band Touché Amoré has been around for more than 10 years and are planning to release their 5th album Lament on October 9th.

The lead single from the album is “Limelight”, which sounds like a breakthrough for the band. The raw lyrics paired with the precise instruments creates a song that sounds like a beacon of hope in a time of uncertainty.

Following a calming instrumental intro, the song dives right in, opening with “we sway like brittle branches / one gust into earth we come/I’m grinning because I know / I’m grinning just because.” Lead singer Jeremy Bolm’s voice is powerful. As the song gets closer to the chorus, the song picks up. Bolm’s voice is full of true emotion, singing “I’m tired and I’m sore/ I’m not so young anymore.” With such deep lyrics and a great amount of emotion, this is a gateway for fans to connect with the song on a deeper level.

Touché Amoré has been making waves for years and it’s clear they aren’t stopping. If you like Limelight, be sure to check out their new album Lament out on October 9th.
