The Driver Era is back with a perfect summer song. “Malibu” is a song to play with your windows down as you drive to the beach. The song’s fresh bass line keeps the song moving while its chill melody pairs well with their lead single “Keep Moving Forward” featuring Nikka Costa. Both of these songs will be on The Driver Era’s Summer Mixtape, coming later this summer. To band members Rocky and Ross Lynch, the song is about daydreaming about personal experiences. “It’s about getting away,” says the band. “It’s the spontaneous trip you take with someone – maybe you knew them before, or maybe you’re meeting them for the first time.”
