Indie pop group Magdalena Bay’s newest track “Oh Hell” encapsulates everything that’s wonderful about the latest and greatest in electro pop. It might not make sense to say that a song sounds “glossy” or “shimmery,” but “Oh Hell” sounds exactly like that.

With sweet vocals that bring you back to pop of the 2000s, paired with some incredible production, it’s safe to say that Magdalena Bay’s bringing the industry a hit.

“‘Oh Hell’ is about young love and how misguided it can be,” frontwoman Mica Tenenbaum states, in regards to what inspired the song. “My first relationship experiences growing up were super toxic, but I went along with them because of a vague notion that love is supposed to be dark and   complicated. We wrote quite creepy and dark lyrics that work against the light, dreamy airiness of the song.”

You can stream “Oh Hell” and check out the lyric video for the track below. If you love Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, or old-school Marina And The Diamonds, then you need to add Magdalena Bay to your playlist.
