If you’ve been searching for your 2020 summertime song, we may have just found it for you. Brooklyn-based American Authors, best known for their hit single “Best Day Of My Life,” recently joined forces with Norwegian production duo, Seeb, to create your new favorite summer anthem. The remix of Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” was produced by Seeb as well, so it’s pretty evident that their ability to mold anything into an uplifting dance party is impressive.

Although the single was released during the coldest season, this track “Best I Can,” was definitely made for the heat. During the first listen, it’s hard not to imagine yourself dancing with your friends at a festival. This new collaboration has a range of elements that create a versatile song for any occasion, though; from campfire-guitar-plucking to introspective lyrics to a perfect build up to a lightning chorus. American Authors describe the meaning behind the song as “giving your entire heart to the person you love most [and] when you strip away the material objects & glamor in the world– all that really matters is the truest love we share.” An all encompassing track of romance & dancing is a sure-fire way to kick off your summer.
