How has the reception of your debut album, Into The Rift, been? Do you feel satisfied by what fans are taking away from it?
Reception has been great so far! We just got back from touring with Bad Suns, and a lot of fans were asking why we couldn’t play more from the album. We only had a short opening set, but it makes it all the more exciting to be headlining in February and March.
The deluxe version of the album is out and it includes an extended version of “T Love.” With this already being a five minute song, what was the decision behind releasing a longer rendition?
A lot of people have asked about this one. Longer form arrangements are a big part of our style. When we were making this album, we shortened a lot of the material — not just “T Love.”
The guitar solo we added was written this time last year. After the great reaction it got live, we knew we had to release it.
Since this was the debut album, how do you hope you evolve and grow from here?
It’s insane to think how much we’ve evolved since the writing phase for this project. Our sound is coming together and we feel like we’re really about to make our mark. We plan to take lots of risks on this next project, and hope to come out with something totally different.
You’ve known each other basically your entire lives. How has growing up and spending so much time together impacted writing and playing music together?
Being in a band with your best friends creates synchronicity like you’ve never seen. It’s kind of the best thing ever.
You just toured with Bad Suns and Last Dinosaurs. How has that experience inspired/impacted you?
We had the most amazing time. Our tourmates were not only funny and kind dudes, but they were great mentors to us.
What can you say about what you have in store for us next year?
We were all born in the year 2000. It’s now 2023. Jordan year! We’re going to do it all. We’ve already got the next thing cooking!
