I think actually being from Atlanta, like most of us grew up on hip hop, so a lot of the culture here is very hip hop oriented. A lot of my patterns vocally and things that we’re interested in are a little bit more hip hop infused, which makes our nu-metal sound a little bit more nu-metal. A lot of nu-metal is hip hop oriented, so. We’re writing a mix tape where we’re gonna have rappers on the songs, you know what I mean? We’re doing this different kind of thing where we wanna expand ourselves to embrace Atlanta culture a little bit more, instead of just kind of touching on it every once in a while.

Odd Polly: Y’allternative Band (What The F*ck Is That?)

If there was one takeaway from the evening, it would be that Odd Polly, a band infamous for lore, must be shared with the public. From Joshua’s camo crocs, no socks just straight dogs out on the fine streets of Philadelphia, to Eli proudly wearing a Morbius shirt despite never having even seen the feature film, this band was full of character and spirit of the DIY alternative scene. Spending time to chat with such down to Earth artists who create such amazing music is an absolute gift.

Who Is Sleep Token? & Why It’s Not Your Business

The group has made nothing but purposeful and thought provoking choices in their aesthetics, which all build off of one another and feel truthful to the band’s overall artistic vision.

All of this album cycle’s art is moody and pulls you in, tending to stick to blood red and sepia tones, but
compliment the eyecatching blue of 2021’s This Place Will Become Your Tomb. It all has purpose. So, it’s no surprise that the group has stayed committed to keeping themselves anonymous.
