Australian Pop Punk band Eat Your Heart Out just announced details of their newest album as well as dropped the first single titled “Carousel” the first new song since they released their ep Mind Games in 2017 along with a music video for the track. ‘Carousel’ is such as solid pop punk track co written with Patrick Miranda vocalist of labelmates Movements. The track really takes us into the mind of vocalist Caitlin Henry and all what she was dealing with as well as what a lot of us all deal with on the daily inside our minds.

Henry stated that “‘Carousel’ is about the constant cycle of thoughts in your head that go back and forth between doubting yourself and believing that you aren’t good enough, and then having a moment of clarity when you know you’re being irrational. A lot of it comes from the idea of ‘imposter syndrome,’ which a lot of people, especially women, experience at some point, where you can’t acknowledge your own achievements properly and believe that you are undeserving, and there’s a constant fear that it will all unravel and you’ll be exposed. I felt like I grew up a lot in the last year, in an emotional sense, and I learned how to deal with these kind of experiences in new ways. So I wanted a title that encompassed the idea of growing up and maturing, and it took us a while to come across the word Florescence but when we did we knew straight away that it was what we were looking for. It refers to the act of flowering or blooming, and I found it really interesting that I’d never come across the word before.”

The band’s latest release ‘Florescence’ is set to be released on May 17th via Fearless Records.
