If you just went through an angry, messy breakup, you might want to consider keeping this track and its recently released music video on your radar. Molly Moore’s “Handsomer” ft. Matty Noyes is just what you need.

The track effectively serves as a post-breakup empowerment anthem— the chorus featuring the lyric, “I don’t need a man, no, I just need a manicure.” It was released back in June, but the music video just dropped last month.

The music video features a bright color palette, sporting pinks, purples and green; very aesthetically pleasing. It’s based around a dating sim board game much like ones made back in the 90s, but with a twist— you take a picture of each playing card and receive an interaction that’s more realistic than a dating sim, such as spam texts or getting blocked. Molly Moore and Matty Noyes show up to show the game’s two players that they shouldn’t put up with being treated like that. They let the girls know that they don’t need a man.

The song’s funky sound mixed with its sparkly accompanying music video makes for a track that’s pleasing not only to your ears, but your eyes too.

“Handsomer” is off Molly Moore’s upcoming debut album, Voice on the Internet, out November 13th. You can stream the music video here. https://youtu.be/EtXc3P1fs8A
