Hailing from the United Kingdom, is rising DIY musician, Macatier with his debut album Native Noise, which just dropped today. Singles from the record that were released in early June, “Lacerations” and “Consigliere”, set the tone for the record wonderfully as they’re both stylistically different but maintain that authentic Macatier-sound.
The layering of vocals over the acoustic tunes sound reminiscent of Elliott Smith stylings, which brings a sense of nostalgia & comfort to the full album. The indie rock & punk influences become most apparent in tracks like “Dead Weight” & “Atlantic Inferno” where slick guitar riffs & catchy bass-lines coalesce.
