If you were anything like me, you had Emarosa’s Peach Club on repeat for many months last year. This Hopeless Records alternative rock band added an infectious pop twist with this release, proving their impressive versatility. One of the singles from this record, “So Bad,” has been reworked into a 2020 club anthem with help from producers Lliam Taylor & Latroit. Both are known for their production of electronic dance music (EDM) and often collaborate to create masterful projects & remixes such as this one. As lyrically, “the song hits more now than ever,” as Emarosa frontman Bradley Walden shares, considering the restraints of seeing others during this time. In other words: may some find comfort in this track.

“So Bad” is already a groovy tune, so it was exciting to see how Taylor & Latroit molded it into a remix perfect for the club. This track has the reminiscent Daftpunk-like guitar distortions layered with an invigorating beat making it irresistible to dance to. There’s a smooth yet exhilarating build to each chorus with some playful drops during the bridge to encapsulate the sensation of an exciting club night. This electrifying remix may just have the power to become your new summer anthem & manage to keep you sane in isolation as you dance away your worries alone in your room.
