Since 2017, Colorblind have been relentlessly pursuing domination over their own sect of the metalcore scene in Austin, Texas and beyond. Their dreamy, atmospheric approach packs an emotional punch, paired with the types of hazy live sets and pop-leaning melodies that have taken the scene by storm in recent years. Those looking for a melodic sound and hard-hitting lyrics will find something to love in Colorblind’s latest single, “Chemical Warfare.”

The latest release from their upcoming debut album, Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold, “Chemical Warfare” lends itself to the band’s live strengths: ambient textures perfect for enraptured crowds to sway along to, with lyrics clearly designed for cathartic screaming: “I’m so sick of taking comfort / Save me from going under.”

Following up success including 30 million streams, sold-out shows across the globe, and appearances at major DWP festivals, “Chemical Warfare” suggests that the musical shapeshifters behind Colorblind have the sonic creativity that it takes to back up their success, no matter what form it takes. It’s a promising look into Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold, set to be released via Solid State Records and Tooth and Nail Records on August 28th, 2026.
