We welcome creators at all levels, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience. As a member of Ascribe’s publication team, you’ll have the flexibility to:
- Publish content you’re passionate about, on your own schedule
- Collaborate with other contributors across projects and formats
- Experiment with new creative mediums
- Share ideas and provide feedback in a supportive environment
- Explore behind-the-scenes opportunities
Your role can evolve as you explore new areas; try something different, lead a project, or stay focused on what you love most. You define your work! Please note that Ascribe is a passion project, run out of the pocket of our Founder. Because of this, all roles within the collective and publication are voluntary. You will not be compensated. We strive to provide access to opportunities and resources that are typically inaccessible in exchange for you volunteering your time and talents.

Zine Curator
Oversee zine creation and special creative publications.
Graphic Designer
Create graphics, social visuals, and editorial layouts.
Video Producer
Help contributors create video essays, multimedia edits, social clips, and more.
Podcast Producer
Create podcast episodes with contributors, and assist with production flow.
Art Director
Work with creative team to ensure cohesive artistic and brand identity across mediums.
Playlist Curator
Develop playlists and maintain them.
Editor (Visual)
Cut down visual content for publishing.

Edit audio clips to prep them for podcast episode publishing.
Community & Collective
Community Moderator
Moderate collective Discord and keep conversations healthy. Connect members to projects and resources within the collective that might interest them.
Partnership Coordinator
Work with Ascribe staff to secure and execute on partnerships with industry brands/groups/professionals to connect collective to resources.
Resource Curator
Find and share resources the collective would benefit from, such as shadowing opportunities, grant applications, tutorials, free assets, etc.
Social Media Coordinator
Work with internal team to highlight their work, post about resources and industry updates, and share published work on accounts.
Social Media & Community Strategist
Work with team to develop new ideas and opportunities for the collective’s server and Ascribe’s social media accounts.
Editor (Social Media)
Edit content into social clips for publishing.
Audience Engagement Coordinator
Oversee how people connect with social channels, and provide insights to the team to help optimize content for engagement and accessibility.
