New York based pop-punk group Ronx just dropped their newest track, “Roses.”

The track starts off strong, with an electric and energetic guitar solo to launch you right into the song. When the vocals come in, the instrumentals cut back so you can really hear the emotion in his voice.

The lyrics describe the feeling of missing a significant other, and how memories and thoughts linger even after everything is done. “It’s such a shame that I miss the scent of roses on my bed,” particularly drives that home, further driving the point that even the smallest of things can remind you of someone and what you once had with them. However bleak the lyrics may seem, it takes a positive spin as the song continues on. Turning from, “I can’t deal with this pain I have faced, it leaves me broken, I feel out of place,” to the chorus, which tries to make a dark situation brighter. The singer declares that he is moving on, and while he won’t forget the memories, he’ll leave what happened in the past in the past and hopes that his ex can as well.

Overall, the song has a somber yet uplifting message and is an energetic and classic pop-punk feel. It’s one you can dance to while also extremely relatable. The thing I personally enjoyed most was the fact that you could hear the raw emotion in the vocalists voice. It’s raspy and raw and it felt very authentic. I truly enjoyed the track and look forward to what else they do with their career.
